Overview...

By default, video and audio in a Nefsis conference is "Host controlled". This means that it's the Host's responsibility to play video and unmute audio for attendees in the conference. You can change this standard setting, so that the specific conference can unmute audio automatically!

Step-by-Step...

  • While in a Nefsis conference (as a Host)...
  • Select the Audio tab
  • Select Audio Control and choose the desired option for controlling audio


  • The setting will then be saved for the conference.

Audio controls explained...


  • Host Controlled
    The standard setting for conferences, requires a Host to manually unmute the audio / microphones for the specific conference.
    Useful when the conference is used for a number of purposes and you don't always want the audio to play automatically when people join.

  • Always On For Hosts And Presenters
    Whenever a Host or Presenter joins (or gets promoted), the audio will be automatically unmuted. However, a Host will still have to manually unmute any Participant's microphones.

  • Always On For Everyone
    Configures the specific conference so that all audio / microphones are unmuted when anyone joins the conference.
